In celebration of another successful year, the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine residents gathered at the annual Chefs’ Roast & Toast to honor our beloved departing chief residents, Catherine Bartnik, MD, MPH; Tyler Peck, MD; Andrew McCue, MD; Mayur Mody, MD; Alejandra Bustillo, MD; and Spencer Maddox, MD.
In addition to heartfelt speeches from the outgoing chiefs and the laughter-filled video “roast” created by the rising chiefs, the event also recognized faculty, residents, fellows, and staff who have shown dedication to Emory’s internal medicine residency program.
Lifelong friendships, unwavering commitment to patient care, and the invaluable relationships with mentors were the key elements remarked by all speakers throughout the night.
“It’s been an honor to serve as your chief resident,” says Andrew McCue, MD, outgoing chief resident at Emory University Hospital Midtown. “The relationships I have made with coworkers and mentors over my four years are the greatest gift Emory has given me.”
