About the Bettye Rose Connell Memorial Lecture
The Bettye Rose Connell Memorial Lecture was founded in 2009 in honor of Dr. Connell’s important contributions to the field of gerontology–including her work on the Principles of Universal Design–and to move forward fields of investigation including architecture, design of the physical environment, and the interaction between physical environment, aging, and behavior.
