Nominations Open for 2019 Department of Medicine Staff Awards

The Department of Medicine annually recognizes staff members who have made significant contributions to their divisions, the department, the School of Medicine, and/or Emory University.

Nomination categories include:

DOM Leadership Excellence Award
This award recognizes a staff member for his/her exemplary leadership accomplishments and contributions to the Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, and Emory University. Successful nominees are those who have led, served, inspired, and collaborated with broad-ranging impact beyond their regular responsibilities.

DOM Unsung Hero Award
This award recognizes a staff member who goes above and beyond the routine call of duty. Successful nominees exhibit a high level of commitment, initiative, cooperation, and dedication in their job responsibilities. This staff member is both dependable and trustworthy, instills in his/her coworkers a sense of responsibility and dedication to the University, and exemplifies excellence and integrity in workplace relationships, interactions, and decisions.

DOM Excellence in Academic Innovation Award
This award recognizes a staff member who has displayed exceptional effort by partnering with faculty and colleagues to help drive creativity  and innovation in the areas of research, education, or clinical care for the Department. Examples of successful nominees would include staff members who have made innovative contributions to research lab operations and techniques, education program design and management, or patient care delivery models.

DOM Outstanding Service Award
This award recognizes a staff member who provides consistent and sustained excellence, exceptional performance, and service to the Division, Department of Medicine, and Emory University. The recipient demonstrates integrity, teamwork, productivity, and customer service.

Award winners will receive a monetary gift and a commemorative plaque to be awarded during the “Celebration of Faculty Honors and Awards” on the evening of August 21, 2019.
