Atlanta VA Medical Center’s Chief Resident in Quality and Safety named for 2020-2021

We are excited to announce that J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine resident Alan Noll, MD has been named the Atlanta VA Medical Center’s Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety (CRQS) affiliated with Emory University for the 2020-2021 academic year. He will follow Abigail Watts, MD, the 2019-2020 CRQS. We would also like to congratulate Anita Sundaramoorthy, MD, another J. Willis Hurst resident, on being named the CRQS affiliated with Morehouse. We look forward to the seeing the positive impact that Noll and Sundaramoorthy will make.

The CRQS is a one year position for individuals interested in leading quality and patient safety educational sessions and gaining skills in quality improvement. The skills gained as the CRQS will be applied to a specific project during the academic year.

In addition to the CRQS program, the Atlanta VA Medical Center also has a VA Quality Scholars (VAQS) Fellowship, a two year interprofessional program designed to develop leaders in quality improvement, health system change, and quality and safety education.
