With no shortage of information surfacing daily about the 2019-Novel Coronavirus, it is important that every health care provider is prepared for the possibility of encountering a patient with this emerging infectious disease.
Join the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Ebola Training and Education Center (NETEC), for a webinar discussion February 18, 2020 from 2-3 p.m. (EST). During the event, leading experts will discuss the current state of the coronavirus and share identification, isolation, and treatment strategies for symptomatic patients.
The Department of Medicine’s Aneesh Mehta, MD, associate professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, will share his expertise as a featured speaker. The event will also feature Sharon Vanairsdale and Bruce Ribner from NETEC as they review how to identify and isolate, and notify the proper officials, if a patient with symptoms and epidemiological risk presents at points of entry to health care staff.
