Naeem Memon named Director of Finance for the Department of Medicine

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Naeem Memon will assume the department’s Director of Finance role, effective February 21.

In this role, Memon will be responsible for oversight of all Department of Medicine financial activities across the School of Medicine and the Emory Clinic medicine specialties. This includes including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compensation plan management, pro forma development, and commitment management. In addition, Memon will manage both School of Medicine and the Emory Clinic medicine specialties finance teams.

Memon previously served as the Finance Manager for Emory Healthcare, where he worked closely with the PGP Director of Finance and the PGP Chief Financial Officer to monitor the section’s financial situation and ability to achieve budgeted financial metrics; managed the section’s financial and revenue cycle performance; analyzed net patient service revenue KPIs; and developed the physician compensation model’s report structure and format. His former roles also include the Senior Decision Support Analyst for Emory Healthcare and the Senior Financial Analyst for the Panasonic Corporation.

Memon received his master of science in finance from Georgia State University and his bachelor and master of commerce in accounting degrees from the University of Mumbai.

The Department of Medicine is in the process of recruiting a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis on the School of Medicine side and a Financial Analyst on the Emory Clinic side. Both roles will report to Memon.
