What is your professional background?
I earned my master’s degree in molecular and cell biology. I began my career as a marketing professional working for a pharmaceutical company. During that time, I had the opportunity to work closely with the dean of a school of medicine, who was one of my clients. Our strong professional rapport led him to invite me to join his team as an executive assistant in the dean’s office. This marked the beginning of my journey into administrative roles. Since then, I have served as an executive assistant to the director at a renowned scientific institution, a lab manager at a leading research organization, and an executive assistant to the president at a pharmaceutical company. My background truly reflects my passion for supporting innovation in science and medicine and knowing that my contributions could play a role in it makes me excited about.
What is your role at Emory?
I am the administrative assistant to the Division of Renal Medicine, supporting the Division Director, faculty, and staff.

I handle all kinds of administrative support for the Renal Division, such as scheduling, preparing reimbursement and documents, managing physician schedules in QGenda, coordinating recurring faculty and visitors’ arrangements, and maintaining the division’s daily operations. A big part of my job is organizing the weekly Renal Grand Rounds and managing the research seminar series. I’m also fully committed to helping with our signature annual events, the Juha P. Kokko Lecture and the William E. Mitch Lecture, which will be taking place in the coming months.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I love traveling to new places, listening to music, and diving into exciting series on streaming platforms. I also really enjoy playing board games and video games with my kids and just spending quality time with my family.
