Jason Freiji named senior clinical business manager for the Divisions of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and Gerontology

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to announce that Jason Freiji has been named senior clinical business manager for the Divisions of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and Gerontology, effective September 1.

Freiji has been in the Department of Medicine as a financial analyst since October 2017. In the financial analyst role, he supported three DOM divisions (General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Gerontology, and Hospital Medicine), as well as the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He earned his bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Georgia and is currently completing his master of business administration at Emory’s own Goizueta Business School.

During his tenure at Emory, Freiji has worked closely with Luke Anderson, who had been serving as administrator for the Divisions of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and Gerontology. Anderson is now focusing on his role as the administrator for the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, which has also grown quickly under his leadership. We are extremely grateful to Anderson for his many years of service to the Department of Medicine and his excellent contributions to the two divisions he supported. He has provided valuable expertise, counsel, and mentoring to many across the department.

Please join us in congratulating Freiji on his new position and thanking Anderson for his years of dedication. We look forward to a smooth transition and are excited to see Freiji excel in this critical leadership role.
