Announcing the 2024 RYSE Virtual Visiting Mini-Clerkship Cohort

The Emory DOM RYSE team is happy to announce the 2024 RYSE Virtual Visiting Mini-Clerkship cohort! The clerkship aims to expose medical students from groups underrepresented in medicine, including but not limited to underrepresented minorities and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, to Emory’s internal medicine residency program and various careers in internal medicine. The program includes various components including mentorship sessions, virtual exposure to clinical sites at Emory, opportunities to meet with various faculty and residency leaders in the IM residency program, and a stipend.

The first block of the program takes place August 19–30 and the second takes place September 23–October 4. Check out the 2024 cohort below!

  • Fun fact: “I was vegan for many years and have made a mean plant-based substitute for just about everything under the sun. I once singlehandedly cooked a vegan Thanksgiving meal.”

Kristin Telford
